Resume Camping
I participated in Resume Camping. This camping is held by Sayling Wen Cultural & Education Foundations, which aims to foster talents needed by society. This camping is to give recommendations for pearticipants' resume and simulation exercises of interview to new graduates.
This event was held in Danshui, so I took train and MRT to there. The weather was so nice that I thought I was going to travel instead of taking the courses. When I arrive, I saw my resume and name brand on my seat.
The first course is about the secrets of making a complete resume. The teacher is the HR from 104 job bank. He mentioned the structure and do's /don'ts of our resume.He also mentioned the point of how to highlight the personal strengths in resume. This is not the first resume lecture I have taken in my life, but it is indeed the most detailed and complete lecture I have ever had.
There was another course I liked very much, which is about exploring ourselves. A lot of people plan the career starting with searching the information about the external environments or the job descriptions. However, the teacher suggested that the first step should be the knowing of ourselves. He divided into three sections. The first one is identifying the values we value. The second one is exploring our interests. The last one is understanding our specialty. If we can combine these three things, we can definitely find the direction of our career.
The final session of the camping is the simulation excercise of the interview. There are five groups and five HRs. Each group would match with a HR to have group interviews so that we can learn from other participants' respond and gain other participants' recommendations.
I think this camping is the treasurable resources in society, so I recommended this foundations to some of my juniors. I hope this event can pass through a lot of generations and continue making talents be better.
